Run Cancelled

Sadly, because this running event has a mass-start, we have taken the responsible decision to postpone it until next year.
We were hoping that Covid restrictions would be lifted by July 18th but it now seems clear that this will not happen in time.
We do not have the technology that would allow us a staggered or individually timed race.
In it's place we are planning a plethora of traditional village games. Details to follow.

About The Chase

Whether it’s running up to the famous Almscliffe Crag or along the banks of the River Wharf, running has been part of Weeton Show for as long as anyone can remember. With several British champions living in the local area this race is always hotly contested!

From complete beginners to seasoned athletes this is a race for everyone; the chase always attracts plenty of entries.

The adult’s race is circa 4½ miles. Shorter children's races will also be run in the main ring.

Dig out your old running shoes and get training. The applause you will receive when you cross the finish line in the main ring will make it all worthwhile!

Entry Fee £tbc at the secretary's tent from tbc on show day.
Approximate start time tbc

The Rougemont Chase is kindly Sponsored by TBC

Please note that in order to compete, a show ticket purchase will be necessary for each entrant.

This year only all entry tickets must be purchased in advance to comply with Covid restrictions.

Please ensure you add any extra ticket requirements to your entry form to avoid disappointment at the entry gate on the day!
